日本独自の絵画表現の流れを示す、isayamax独自のコンセプトです。
大和絵、琳派、浮世絵にはじまる日本の装飾表現は、印象派やアール・ヌーヴォー、抒情画、少女漫画、イラストレーションへと受け継がれ、
現在の多様なポップカルチャーにまで途切れることなくつながっています。
そして日本では、装飾そのものが高度な技術と精神性を内包する品格として大切にされてきました。

The title “MIYABISM (Miyabi + ISM)” is an original concept by isayamax, representing a uniquely Japanese lineage of pictorial expression that has depicted poetic worlds through elegant ornamentation and the use of ma.
Japanese decorative expression—beginning with Yamato-e, Rinpa, and Ukiyo-e—has been passed down through Impressionism, Art Nouveau, lyrical painting, shōjo manga, and illustration, continuing uninterrupted into today’s diverse pop culture.
In Japan, ornamentation itself has long been valued as a refined form embodying both advanced technique and spirituality.
In this series, female figures serve as vessels through which stories, emotions, and even layers of time are interwoven as ornamentation, expressing a distinctly Japanese aesthetic within a single composition.
