日本のカワイイ文化を構成する要素である「デコ」と「デフォルメ」を掛け合わせた「Decorume」シリーズ第8作目のピンクカラーバージョン。
本作は、ロリータファッションの女性をモチーフにしています。
1970年代の「MILK」などに見られる独自のファッション表現や精神性を踏まえると、ロリータファッションにはパンクの精神にも通じるものがあると考えています。
それは、私が考えるカワイイの定義である「何物にも縛られない自由な姿」にも重なります。既存の価値観や規範にとらわれず、自分らしさを自由に表現するロリータファッションは、日本のカワイイ文化を語るうえで重要なカルチャーの一つだと考えています。

The eighth piece in the Decorume series, this pink version combines two elements of Japanese KAWAII culture: “Deco” (decoration) and “Deforme” (stylized exaggeration).
The subject of this work is a woman dressed in Lolita fashion.
Considering the distinctive fashion expressions and spirit embodied by brands such as MILK in the 1970s, I believe Lolita fashion shares a kindred spirit with punk culture.
This spirit also resonates with my definition of KAWAII: “the freedom to be oneself, bound by nothing.” By expressing individuality freely without being constrained by existing values or social norms, Lolita fashion represents an important part of Japanese KAWAII culture.
